Background

Austin was born on a distant island, and grew up studying numerous fighting techniques. Eventually, he used his skills to defeat challengers from other tribes, thus emerging as the youngest champion at his coming of age ceremony. The elders presented him with the Guardian's Anchor and a tattoo of the waves symbolizing the God of the Sea's blessing, and acknowledged him as their new leader.

However, if wasn't all smooth sailing. With the island's resource growing scarce, many brave warriors were tempted by the legend of a promised land that lay beyond the sea, only to fall to the stormy waves. At last, Austin took it upon himself to accept this challenge. He realized that he needed to build a sturdy ship to weather the perilous journey, and so he began his quest.

After years of training rigorously and fending off pirates, Austin finally gathered enough materials to build the magnificent Wavefarer. He then set sail to lead his people to the promised land.
